Stand Still and See the Salvation of the Lord!

"You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against the, for the Lord is with you."
2 Chronicles 20:17

God gave me a Word for 2017: It's Time to Fly! I feel that a continuation of this word is here in 2 Chronicles. I believe that God is telling many of us that we are entering a battle that we will no longer need to fight.

Often God wants us to fight and God wants us to put in work to get the blessings and the victory that He has promised us but there is a time where God tells us to simply "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord"!

There is someone reading this post that has spent years fighting and God is saying that He is about to step in!

When you look through the Old Testament the people of Israel went through many battles. Whenever they were following God they found victory but that victory came in many different ways. There were times where they truly had to fight and put in the effort to get their victory and even times where they had many casualties on route to the victory. However, there were other times where the Lord took it upon Himself to do the fighting for them.

In this chapter, King Jehoshaphat receives this promise the night before a battle. The following morning he appoints people to go before the army and sing praises to the Lord as they approach the battlefield. When they arrive they find that the enemy army has already been defeated.

I believe that God is ready to defeat your enemy for you, you just need to start praising Him. Forget about your worries and your problems and focus your praise on Him and He will bring you to the victory that you have been fighting so long for.

2017 - It's Time to Fly!

"But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31

I have heard from many people that 2016 was a difficult year. In the world of celebrities there were many icons who passed away in this year and I also know many people have had personal struggles and losses in 2016. Personally, for me and my family, it has been the most difficult of recent years but it hasn't been the easiest either. We have had to work hard and endure through stress and busyness while striving to make the best of the year and where God has us at this moment.

Now 2016 is over and 2017 is beginning.
It is time to move forward and to leave the past year behind us!

Each year I try to seek God for a word to start the year off with. Many of you read my word for 2015, Rivers are About to Spring Forth!

In 2017 I feel that God has told me, "It's time to fly!"

Many of us have been striving to do our best. To work hard and live the way that we are supposed. To strive forward towards the goals and calling that God has given us. But it's time to let go and let God mount us on eagle's wings. It's time to fly!

At church this morning the message was on Ephesians 3:20:

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,"

He able to do beyond what we can ask or think but we have to allow Him to. We have to let go of our own abilities and our own attempts and allow him to work. We have to release our control and allow him to lift us up! It's time to fly!

What is it that you want to see happen in 2017? What is it that you want to change in 2017? Instead of making resolutions that are bound to fail maybe this is the year to, "let go and let God"!

It's time to fly!
